Michael Olivier features Bruce’s Secret Handshake on his ‘Minute of Wine’
The Secret Handshake is a 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Blend created by Bruce specifically for the Cape Winemakers Guild annual auction. The Cape Winemakers Guild is a select group of 37 winemakers widely regarded as representative of the best South Africa has to offer. There is an annual requirement for CWG members to create a hand-crafted vintage – a wine apart from their production brands – to go to the Cape Winemakers Guild auction.
In this video Michael tastes one of Bruce’s entries for this year: The Secret Handshake 2005. The name is in recognition of the fact that the origin of the grapes and the barrels will not be divulged… unless you happen to bump into Bruce armed with a special combination of palm presses.
